Humidity Sensor Solutions
ControlStore Is The Leading Destination For Humidity Sensor Solutions
A humidity sensor is a versatile and powerful device. Used in HVAC systems and in environments as wide-ranging as hotels/hospitality, meteorology, medical, automobile and manufacturing, the humidity sensor is a critical device in any environment that is sensitive to moisture in the air.
There are two forms of the humidity sensor, as there are two different ways to calculate humidity: Relative Humidity (RH) means comparing the live humidity reading at a given temperature to the maximum amount of humidity for air at that temperature. The maximum amount of humidity at 20 degrees and 40 degrees is different, and RH sensors are designed to acknowledge that. This page lists ControlStore’s range of RH sensors.
The other option is Absolute Humidity (AH), which, as the name suggests, is a humidity sensor that measures humidity without reference to temperature.
Why you might need a humidity sensor
Humidity sensors are enormously useful tools for remote monitoring and intelligent asset management. Typically, you’d install them on assets like pumps, compressors, fans, and datacentres to keep an eye on the environmental conditions around the environment. Air that is too humid can be damaging to sensitive equipment, so by installing a humidity sensor, you can minimise maintenance and the need to replace equipment quite so often.
A humidity sensor can also be enormously useful for remotely monitoring an environment for unusual conditions – for example, a spill or leak – and that can help with the rapid response to potentially damaging or hazardous events.
ControlStore stocks a wide and deep range of humidity sensors, from leading manufacturers including Veris, Vaisala, Distech, Siemens, Sontay, and Dwyer. Whether you need a duct-mounted humidity sensor, a remote mounted one, or a wall-mounted device, we have a range of indoor and outdoor options to suit. Some of our humidity sensor solutions have a secondary function as a temperature sensor, and we have devices that can be discreet for where customer-facing décor is important (such as a hospitality environment), and more durable, rugged devices for challenging (e.g. industrial) environments.
